He was born in Pianiga, Venice in 1950 and he still lives and works in the Riviera del Brenta. His cultural education is marked by the studies he carried out under the guidance of Alberto Viani at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts. He then attended the Industrial Design Course at the Department of Architecture of the University of Venice. During his years as a student, he designed and created many art objects, which he showed to the public on the occasion of internationally acclaimed exhibitions. Industrial design became his full-time activity in the 80s, designing for very popular brands in the field of furniture. His holistic way of thinking, which considers the designed object as part of a specific environment rather than a single, isolated item, led him to co-operate in wide-ranging projects. Over the following years he in fact took the artistic direction of many projects. Intensive collaborations, in which Enzo Berti gave his contribution with a view to either finding and establishing a new corporate identity, as occurred with Torremato.
