JACOPO FOGGINI TALKS ABOUT HIS NEW LAMP, “INES”. " I work with light in my sculptures. But this is the first time I make a lamp for a company. My collaboration with Edra is longstanding and has produced very beautiful chairs like Gina or Ella, because I always felt a total freedom to design without limits or boundaries. Edra is one of the few companies able to build an industrial product with a very high craftsmanship that makes it become somewhat "unique". The result is a "precious" lamp, painted in gold: another new thing because, so far, I had never painted the materials but always worked the color in the transparency during processing, which is done by hand in my workshop. It has a diameter of about four feet with three different legs. It is polymorphic and recalls the sinuous body of a slender woman with very long legs, just like my ex-girlfriend Ines, one of the people I love the most. My objects always carry the names of the important women in my life. It is a dedication, an affectionate tribute that I enjoy doing."
