Robust and timeless, Nicolle metal seats are now available in many sizes and colours. The industrial Nicolle seat is perfect for small spaces. Ideal for 75cm high dining tables or desks. Without backrests, they are easily stacked. Also available in 100/110cm high bars a unique outline for chairs and stools. For indoor use, a beech wood seat confers elegance to the metal structure. The seats of Nicolle chairs are also adorned with Lloyd Loom fibre. Baptised in 1917 by its American inventor, Marshall BURNS LLOYD, this fibre is made of kraft paper wrapped around a metal wire. Woven then varnished, it is more robust and more supple than rattan.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Paul-Henry Nicolle was the owner of the NICOLLE factory which forges and stamps metal disks. For his staff's needs, Paul-Henry Nicolle designed and manufactured a functional stool to which he added an elegant metal backrest which is known today as the Chaises Nicolle.
